KICoB was well represented by a team of academic and administrative staff who actively took part in various sessions, panel discussions, and exhibitions. The participation reflects KICoB’s ongoing commitment to co-operative education, research, and regional integration through knowledge exchange and professional engagement.

The three-day event focused on critical issues shaping the future of the co-operative movement, including:

  • Digital transformation in co-operative societies

  • Youth engagement and innovation in SACCOs

  • Climate resilience and sustainable development

  • Regional co-operation and cross-border learning

The conference provided a unique platform for learning, networking, and sharing insights on cooperative education and development. Delegates had the opportunity to engage with experts from Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, and other countries, sharing success stories and identifying actionable strategies for strengthening co-operative institutions.

KICoB’s participation was also an opportunity to:

  • Build institutional visibility at the regional level

  • Strengthen collaborative ties with CUK, MoCU, and other co-operative training institutions

  • Explore new research and training opportunities

  • Advocate for the role of technical and professional training in the co-operative sector

As the co-operative sector continues to evolve in response to social and economic demands, KICoB remains dedicated to playing a leading role in shaping the next generation of co-operative leaders and practitioners.

We extend our gratitude to MoCU and CUK for organizing a well-coordinated and impactful conference, and we look forward to implementing the knowledge gained to benefit our students and the broader co-operative community.
