Profile:

Dr. Masatu Julius Malima is a Lecturer in the Department of Business Management at the Kizumbi Institute of Co-operative and Business Eduation (KICoB), Tanzania. He holds a PhD in Linguistics from the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM), where he also earned both his Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Linguistics and Education, respectively.

Dr. Malima has a diverse academic background, with a particular focus on Critical Discourse Analysis, Language Education, and Professional Communication. His academic journey began at the University of Dar es Salaam, where he completed his Bachelor’s in Education (BA Ed.) in 2009, followed by his Master’s in Linguistics in 2013, and later, a PhD in Linguistics from 2022 to 2025.

Before joining KICoB, Dr. Malima accumulated extensive teaching experience in higher education. He has contributed significantly to research and academic writing, particularly in the fields of linguistics and communication studies. His expertise in Critical Discourse Analysis and language education has made him a valuable asset in academia, focusing on the intersection between language use and professional communication.
