Staff members and students from Kizumbi Institute of Co-operative Education and Business participated in an environmental conservation exercise by planting Midodoma shade trees as part of preparations for the Green 27 initiative coordinated by Tanzania Broadcasting Corporation.
Speaking during the exercise, Prof. Kazungu stated that a total of 100 trees were planted. He explained that the selected tree species is drought-resistant and will contribute to creating a more friendly and conducive environment for both staff and students at the institute.
The initiative reflects the institution’s commitment to environmental sustainability and climate conservation through active participation in tree planting and environmental protection activities.
Participants also expressed their appreciation for the exercise, noting that environmental conservation activities not only improve the campus surroundings but also promote awareness of the importance of protecting the environment for future generations.
