Practical Accounting System Training Conducted for Diploma Second-Year and Bachelor First-Year Students at Kizumbi Institute of Cooperative and Business Education (KICoB)

In a significant move to equip students with practical skills, the Kizumbi Institute of Cooperative and Business Education (KICoB) recently organized hands-on training on the Government Accounting System (MUSE). The training targeted second-year diploma students and first-year bachelor’s degree students, aiming to enhance their readiness for fieldwork and real-world application.
The session was facilitated by Mr. Baraka Nkini, a seasoned expert in accounting systems, with additional guidance from Dr. Christina Mwakabumbe, who played a key role in designing the training content. Dr. Mwakabumbe was not present during the event but contributed significantly to its planning and objectives.

The training emphasized the practical use of the Government Accounting System (MUSE), a crucial tool for managing financial records and transactions in public institutions. Students were given an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the system’s features, enhancing their competence in accounting practices and preparing them for their upcoming industrial attachments.
This initiative is part of KICoB’s ongoing efforts to provide its students with a competitive edge by merging theoretical knowledge with practical exposure, ensuring they are well-prepared for the demands of the job market.
