
Deputy Permanent Secretary Visits KICoB to Assess Development and HEET-Funded Infrastructure Projects
Kizumbi, Tanzania – The Deputy Permanent Secretary for Science, Technology, and Higher Education, Professor Daniel Mushi, conducted an official visit to the Kizumbi Institute of Cooperative and Business Education (KICoB) to evaluate the institution’s development progress.
The primary objective of the visit was to assess the current state of academic and infrastructural advancements at KICoB. As part of the tour, Prof. Mushi inspected the construction of a new academic building and a student dormitory. These key infrastructure projects are being financed under the Higher Education for Economic Transformation (HEET) project, a national initiative aimed at enhancing the quality and capacity of higher education institutions across Tanzania.
During the visit, Prof. Mushi emphasized the importance of aligning educational development with national economic transformation goals and urged the institute’s leadership to ensure timely and quality completion of the ongoing projects.
The visit reflects the government’s continued commitment to strengthening higher education and promoting institutional growth to support socio-economic development.
