On May 14, 2024, Prof. Kilima, the HEET Project Coordinator and Deputy Vice Chancellor of Planning, Finance, and Administration at Moshi Cooperative University (MoCU), along with Dr. Christina Mwakabumbe, the Acting Director of the Institute of Cooperative and Business Education Kizumbi (KICoB), paid a visit to Prof. Siza D.Tumbo, the Regional Administrative Secretary of Shinyanga.

The primary focus of the visit was to discuss matters related to the Higher Education for Economic Transformation (HEET) project, specifically the upcoming construction projects at the KICoB in Shinyanga. The discussions also highlighted the significance of the HEET project in boosting the economy of Shinyanga Municipality.

The completion of the project is expected to increase the number of students, thereby enhancing the region’s economic growth. Other stakeholders present at the meeting included the Director of Shinyanga Municipality, an engineer, and the Revenue Officer of Shinyanga Municipality.
