Members of the Gender Desk Committee at the Kizumbi Institute of Cooperative and Business Education (KICoB) convened for a special meeting. The committee comprises newly appointed members selected by the management of the Moshi Cooperative University (MoCU). The meeting provided an opportune moment for the members to come together and enhance their capacity in combating gender-based violence at KICoB.
During the session, the members were enlightened on various aspects, including preserving the confidentiality of victims of gender-based violence, proper methods of reporting incidents, and thoroughly investigating and verifying any allegations of abuse. The Gender Desk at the institution is poised to help address issues that may arise from staff or students experiencing forms of abuse, such as death, stress, illnesses, and exam failure.
