Prof. James Mdoe Visits KICoB, Urges Rapid Construction and Curriculum Enhancement
Naibu Katibu Mkuu Wizara ya Elimu, Sayansi na Teknolojia, Prof. James Mdoe, recently visited the Kizumbi Institute of Co-operative and Business Education (KICoB) to inspect preparations for the upcoming construction of dormitories and an academic building. The construction is expected to commence soon.
During his visit, Prof. Mdoe toured the proposed construction sites and viewed renderings of the completed buildings. He also received a project update, including the progress of the contractor selection process. Prof. Mdoe emphasized the need for swift commencement of the construction and called on Moshi Co-operative University (MoCU) to focus on curriculum improvements aimed at producing highly skilled and competitive graduates.
“The university should prepare graduates to think big and outside the box,” stated Prof. Mdoe. The construction project at MoCU’s main campus and KICoB, along with the curriculum enhancements, are funded by the Higher Education for Economic Transformation (HEET) project.
